The highlight of the set is an all-new documentary, "The Threads of Mythology," in which creator Chris Carter and others explain the process of the MythArc and how it was invented. Carter notes that the mythology episodes are the ones where the personal lives of the Mulder and Scully are explored more deeply, whereas the individual cases, known as "Monsters of the Week," focused on creepy crawlies up to no good. Some of the greatest The X-Files episodes are contained in this set, especially: the harrowing two-part "Duane Barry," and "Ascension," which document Scullys abduction; "One Breath," featuring Duchovny in a stellar performance as Scully is mysteriously returned; the fantastic "Colony," and "End Game" wherein Mulder believes he may have found his sister; and the great Season 2 cliffhanger "Anasazi," which brings back the nefarious Alex Krycek (Nicholas Lea) and ends with Mulders life hanging in the balance.
