 Barnes & Noble This 1994 produced-for-video sequel to one of the most popular non-Disney animated features in recent years finally hatches on DVD. Not as primal an adventure as the 1988 original, The Great Valley Adventure focuses on the mischievous adventures of "longneck" dinosaur Littlefoot and his friends: three-horned Cera, swimmer Ducky, flier Petrie, and spiketail Spike. They grow and play together in the idyllic paradise, the Great Valley. But Littlefoot hates being little and cant wait to grow up. "Youll grow up soon enough," his grandfather reassures him. And soon enough, Littlefoot and friends follow two egg-stealing villains into the forbidden, mysterious beyond to "show everyone were not babies anymore." Aimed at a younger audience, this sequel is far less intense than the original film, although the dreaded "Sharpteeth" still pack a ferocious bite.
