 Barnes & Noble Theres no denying the hilarity and whacked-out musical genius of Jack Black. This comprehensive, two-disc DVD collection outlines their career to date, beginning with an entire live performance, recorded at Londons Brixton Academy, which reveals why the duos comedy-and-rock combo is as infectious and artful as the age-old pairing of chocolate and peanut butter. Tenacious D have built their fan base with a heavy tour schedule, honing their act, and eventually getting picked up for a magnificent six-episode series on HBO -- which fills out the rest of Disc 1 here. Ive been waiting for the HBO episodes for longer than I can remember and now I have them in great quality. The concert is very good. I have some problems with the editing, but its not too distracting. The extras are awesome. The short movies, the behind the scenes video, and the misic videos with the making ofs, are all very welcome. The one thing I wish was there that isnt is commentary of the episodes, but, really, I can get over that. If you like The D, dont think twice about it. Buy this.
