Barnes & Noble "I cant be that little girl anymore." So remarks Riley (Mary-Kate Olsen) to a lifelong friend with an unrequited crush, putting into words the connecting theme for these five episodes from the Olsen twins top-rated Fox Family Channel series. The Olsens, who vaulted into popular culture in their toddler years (the early 90s) on TVs Full House, continue to grow up -- gracefully -- in public. In the series pilot, "Dog Day Afternoon," Chloe (Ashley) uses dog-training techniques to fetch a cute boy. In "Theres Something About Riley," Riley fends off the attentions of adoring goofball Larry (Jesse Head). Dating rules hinder Chloes budding relationship, while Malibu princess Riley meets a singer-songwriter who turns one of her poems into a song in "Rileys New Guy." In the similarly titled "The New Guy," Riley forgets Larrys birthday. In "The Wheelchair," Riley lets the cute, wheelchair-bound new student believe she is also disabled. So Little Time has a cutting-edge look and snappy writing, with topical references to "Jennifer and Brad" and Victorias Secret. For fans of the Olsen twins who dont have access to cable, these collected episodes are welcome windows into the girls continuing adventures.
