Barnes & Noble Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen go to the head of the class in five rollicking episodes from their top-rated Fox Family Channel series. The Olsens star as Riley and Chloe, two sisters coping with teenage trials and tribulations. In "The Breakfast Club," perennial "Good Citizen" Chloe tries to get detention so she can meet her high schools bad boy. In "The Color of Money," the girls scramble to replace charity funds that were spent on concert tickets. They wangle an invitation to a rave in a misguided effort to be cool and crazy in "Girls Just Want to Have Fun." Lying, cheating, and scheming predictably backfire in "True Lies," while in "Trading Places," Riley and Chloe are paired with goofy classmate Larry on an ill-fated school project. The Olsens were well schooled in Full House, and they deliver winning performances that are naturally funny without being precocious. They also benefit from a grade A ensemble (including Jesse Head as Larry, this shows answer to Screech from Saved by the Bell) and surprisingly sharp writing. "The Color of Money" boasts a nifty reference to Glengarry Glen Ross, with taskmaster Riley reminding her fund-raisers, "Juicy Juice is for closers!" And while the girls flirt with bad behavior, they reliably do the right thing, or at least learn their lessons.
