Barnes & Noble In this new-to-DVD entry in the Sesame Street Kids Guide to Life series, the story of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" and a recognizable, real-life situation teach Telly (and preschool viewers) that telling a lie is wrong but that "the truth will make it better." Ginas day care is buzzing with excitement over the circus. Everyone is going but Telly, who feels left out. So, in a desperate gambit for inclusion, Telly tells his friends that his Uncle Tommy is the ringmaster ("Why did I say that?," he cries to himself). Meanwhile, Elmo dreams himself into a "Sesamed" version of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," one in which no sheep are harmed and the boy learns his lesson. Dennis Quaid guest-stars as Uncle Tommy, who gently but firmly insists that Telly tell his friends the truth. Will Tellys friends forgive him? This being Sesame Street, the answer, of course, is a resounding yes (it helps that Uncle Tommy is revealed to be an astronaut!). As Woody Allen remarked in Annie Hall, "If only life were like this." Other entries in the Guide to Life series include "Learning to Share" with Katie Couric, and "Big Bird Gets Lost" with Frances McDormand.
