Cookie Monster -- he of the furry, blue-shag pelt and ravenous appetite for circular confections -- demonstrates his singular lack of self-control in this collection of songs and vignettes celebrating cookie-obsessed dementia. While toiling in the kitchen over a batch of chocolate chip treats, CM, whose guttural singing voice makes Tom Waits sound like Clay Aiken, replays some of his most half-baked musical moments, including "C Is for Cookie," "C Drives Me Crazy," and "If Moon Were a Cookie." It’s surprising: You can learn a lot from cookies, as when Annette Bening uses a plate of goodies to demonstrate the concepts of "here" and "there." Cookie Monster is a mind consumed by a single thought, but in the touching song "What Is a Friend," he graciously shares his last cookie. Fans of this Sesame Street favorite will devour this 30-minute collection. Donald Liebenson
