Barnes & Noble One of cinema’s first true visionaries, Fritz Lang’s influence can still be felt today. Four of his best-known early films comprise this fantastic box set. In addition to two previously issued classics -- the visually stunning science fiction landmark Metropolis, and the epic, two-part film of the Norse legend Die Nibelungen, -- the collection introduces to DVD two new Lang entries starring his beloved Gerda Maurus. The first is Lang’s 1928 thriller Spies, a splendid James Bond forerunner, and his final silent film, 1929’s Woman on the Moon. Both have been meticulously restored with footage never before available in the U.S., adding not only to the films’ beauty but enhancing the storytelling as well. Each disc also boasts a treasure trove of production stills, all the better to appreciate Lang’s singular visual style. Interested in the song lyrics? - Check out themostlyrics.com!
