 Barnes & Noble Party on, Caillou! This DVD collection holds two volumes of animated stories, puppetry, and musical segments from the popular PBS preschool series. In Its a Party, four-year-old Caillou is the life of the party. The celebrations range from a birthday party to Chinese New Year, complete with a dragon (which, the fretful Caillou is reassured, is not at all scary). As Caillou and company learn, there are many reasons to celebrate and many different ways to have fun, from learning magic tricks and making homemade paper clowns with Grandma to telling jokes. Best of all, you dont need a reason to party or share a laugh with family and friends. In Caillou at Play, Caillous dealing with his friends trigger a wide range of emotions: hurt feelings, when his friends say they dont want to play with him; concern, when his best friend has to go to the hospital; disappointment, when a trip to the zoo is cancelled; and joy, when Caillou and friends use their imaginations -- and articles of clothing -- to transform themselves into familiar animals. A scavenger hunt adds to the fun. Using words and sharing feelings are demonstrated to be effective ways to resolve conflicts. Both volumes are also available separately on VHS.
