Released in 2004, three years after her previous studio album, Medúlla is easily Björks most challenging work to date, with songs built exclusively from vocal tracks. The remarkable creative process needed to bring these songs to life is traced in this companion DVD, an intimate 50-minute behind-the-scenes documentary. Filmed over the course of a year, Inner Part of an Animal or Plant Structure follows Björk from her home in Iceland to studios around the world while she tries to capture the ideas and sounds in her head onto tape. The film includes guest appearances by Rahzel from the Roots, Mike Patton of Faith No More, Inuit throat singers, an Icelandic choir, the worlds greatest human beat-boxes, and others.
