It is a little hard to keep up at first, but after about a week it will come. I didnt find the instructional video to be much help. I just jumped right into the basic workout and I picked up on the moves right away. I would recommend this DVD/Video to anyone who wants to tone and strengthen their bodies and increase their stamina. Its great for losing weight too!!!A reviewer, A reviewer, January 28, 2004 Great set of tapesI have 4 children ages 16 months to 7 years so my body has taken a beating. I hate doing exercises as much as the next woman but these videos have dropped me 20 lbs in 3 months and I have muscle!! Dont worry about the coordination - that will come within a week and stamina will follow. When the basic tape becomes too easy just use your own muscle restriction to make the workout even better. In the beginning I couldnt get through even the basic tape but within 2 weeks I had no trouble. Set your clock a half hour early each morning and diligently do the tape 5 or 6 times a week and you will see the results FAST. The flip side of this coin is that I can still eat whatever I want including nightly chocolate bars and chips. Once I reached my goal weight I cut down the work out to 3 days a week and I can easily maintain my weight and muscle. Last year I bought the get ripped set of 6 tapes for variety. By the way after doing tae bo for 2 years I still cannot do the advanced workout so dont feel bad!! I am a svelt 120 lbs and trim but that advanced tape is a killer!! Word of advice - DO THE INSTRUCTIONAL TAPE FIRST. For safety reasons learn the moves. You may not be able to get them down pat at first but it only takes about a week. Stick with it - youll enjoy the results! I have not tried any other kickboxing exercise tapes because as the saying goes if it aint broke - dont fix it so I cannot provide any comparison. The only thing that would make these tapes better is real music from artists that we love to hear. The music on the tape is only a beat. If you feel that one side of your body is getting more of a workout than the other then instead of doing the mirror image of what Billy is doing then do a true opposite instead and that will workout the other side harder.
