Barnes & Noble First aired as a one-time NBC special in 1967, Laugh-In soon became a lightning-in-a-bottle hit that soared meteorically from January 1968 until it fizzled out in 1973, leaving behind an imprint of brilliant rapid-fire sketch-comedy that would inspire countless such programs in the decades to come. Dan Rowan and Dick Martin cultivated a frenetic tone in a decidedly unstructured format, interspersing one-liners with comic sketches and guest spots. Laugh-In was a pioneer in the comedy world, launching the careers of then-unknowns such as Goldie Hawn, Lily Tomlin, Arte Johnson, and Henry Gibson. This three-DVD set collects six of the series finest episodes, featuring appearances by Zsa Zsa Gabor, Cher, Sammy Davis Jr., Michael Caine, and Liberace. Supplemental features include interviews with Gary Owens, Arte Johnson, and Ruth Buzzi. Customer ReviewsWrite your own online review > Interested in the song lyrics? - Check out themostlyrics.com!
