Barnes & Noble Backstreets back all right -- back in the town that birthed them, Orlando, Florida. The platinum-selling boy band returns to the sweet burg that sent them off to find their fortune in Europe in 1995 in this pay-per-view special from New Years Eve, 1998. This production captures a sexy and mature band whose dance moves rhyme perfectly and climactically with show-stopping on-stage fireworks. Not only does each B-Boy get a solo slot (the best being Nicks heart-stopping "Lay Down Beside Me"), but theres banter galore, too. The between-song interviews feature Nick, A. J., Howie, Brian, and Kevin, each giving it up for their screaming disciples. "Fans are like our best friends," confesses A. J. during one of many emotional interviews. The groups appreciation has never been so apparent or raw as here, and the screaming followers more than bounce it back to the Backstreets. This is a precious snapshot of the B-Boys before they became American superstars with their Millennium album. The performances of "Quit Playin Games (with my Heart)" and "Everybody (Backstreets Back)" are mint and definitive. Michael Stabile Interested in the song lyrics? - Check out themostlyrics.com!
