Okay, well cut the Baby Einstein folks a bit of slack on the presence of porkers in their neighborhood; but then, since the curly-tailed critters are such natural hits with the kiddies, its not worth squealing over their inclusion in this delightful new entry to the Baby series. Pavlov the Dog, a frisky puppet, hosts this narrow-focus 30-minute jaunt through a select corner of the animal kingdom for kids four years old and under. As with earlier programs in the series, Baby Dolittle employs puppets, animation, sounds, and classical music -- a bit of Beethoven here, a Vivaldi snippet there -- to stimulate young minds. Kids see the critters in their natural environment and enjoy other kids comments about and drawings of their new friends -- furry, feathered, and otherwise.
