The story is so realistic and warm, making the viewer feel very much a part of this family. Dame Judi Dench and Geoffery Palmer lead a cast of wonderful actors in portraying the ups and downs and the laughs of everyday life in this British household. Their timinng and ability to know what the other is going to do and play upon that makes the series delightful. I can relate to almost any of the situations and none of them seem too far fetched to be believable. American TV can take some lessons from this series. The series mixes comedy and drama exquisitly delivered by the entire cast. Moira Brooker, Jenny Funnell and Philip Bretherton all provide the glue which brings the show together. This is a must see. I have the complete set (to date) on DVD, the quality of which makes it a great view over and over. I never get tired of watching it.Also Recommended: A Fine Romance Interested in the song lyrics? - Check out themostlyrics.com! Looking For A DVD? - Check out dvd-a-rama.com! |
