Barnes & Noble This charming British animated series -- based on the books written by Katharine Holabird and illustrated by Helen Craig -- doesnt miss a step. What makes Angelina such a delight is that children can identify with her starry-eyed dreams, as well as her realistic behavior, as she stumbles through adolescence. In "Ballerina Rag Doll," Angelina finds it is not so easy to discard beloved childhood toys. In "Angelinas Surprise," the jealous mouseling tells a lie to steal the thunder from a friends new baby brother. Next, in "Arthurs Butterfly," Angelina stubbornly refuses to free a butterfly, until she learns firsthand what it is like to be trapped. Finally, a misunderstanding tests Angelina and Alices friendship in "Alices Present." Finty Williams is the voice of Angelina, with Dame Judi Dench, her real-life mother, as her beloved ballet teacher, Miss Lily. This collection also includes two live-action segments that vividly convey the joys of dance.
